Winsted, Connecticut, nicknamed "The Laurel City" for its abundance of Connecticut's beautiful state flower, is celebrating the 2008 Laurel Festival on June 13th, 14th and 15th. The crowning ceremony, after the parade on Sunday, marks the end of the Laurel Festival and the beginning of the year-long reign for the 2008 Laurel Queen.
