Congratulations to Courtney Kane, the 2008 Laurel Queen!

Winsted, Connecticut, nicknamed "The Laurel City" for its abundance of Connecticut's beautiful state flower, is celebrating the 75th Anniversary Laurel Festival on June 12th, 13th and 14th, 2009. The crowning ceremony, after the parade on Sunday, marks the end of the Laurel Festival and the beginning of the year-long reign for the 2009 Laurel Queen.

Past Queens to be named Honorary Parade Marshals for the 2009 Laurel Festival

The Laurel City Commission has chosen the theme "Celebrating 75 Years of Laurel Festival History" for the 2009 Laurel Festival. The Honorary Parade Marshals will be Laurel Queens from past years. If you are a past Laurel Queen and would like to be a part of the Laurel Festival and also be honored as an Honorary Parade Marshal, please email the Laurel City Commission for more information by clicking here.
